Print media is BACK
OK, the fanzine has always been in print, but with the late start to the season and sparse fixtures in November and December it feels like a long time between issue 15 in September and issue 16 which is in my hands right now (not literally, it would be difficult to type, but it’s in my possession)
Here’s the front cover, with the photo, of Celin Bizet’s goal celebrations at the King Power back in November, ably provided by bearded beauty, Ben Brazil.
In issue 16 we have
Regulars Charlie and Mark bring us “The sum of its parts” and “Unlucky number 7” respectively.
2 debut contributions from Boh Blythin and profiles Melvine Malard and Matt Taylor who runs the rule over our summer signings and how they’ve performed so far.
Clare Wood charts her journey from photography hobbyist to snapping action shots of her favourite football team in “Shoots like a girl”
And an extended editor’s piece where I rant about INEOS
The new “Have your say” where 3 readers give views on whatever crosses their mind. Tis will be a ew regular feature of both the printed fanzine and the substack so whenever you have something to say won’t fill a full article, send it in and I’ll include it at the next opportunity.
Then there’s a double page spread detailing the recently released collectible player cards and ways in which you can engage with the fanzine.
Then we finish off with back cover art of Elisabeth Terland from resident artist Dan Schofield, who can be found as diddy.draw on instagram.
Issue 16 will go on sale tomorrow (Saturday 11th) at LSV before the West Brom game. I may not be out for as long as usual as I take measures to keep myself and Sophie out of the cold but come and check by the merch sellers outside Morrisons or keep an eye on twitter in case I find a handy place in the warmth of the Whistling Wren.
They’ll also be available on the bigcartel store by the end of tomorrow for online orders.
